Anything smaller than a quarter of our truck is $150, carried from any floor. A fridge from a fifth-floor condo costs the same as one from a ranch kitchen.
One fridge or freezer
$150
A full-size fridge takes about 1.5 cubic yards of the truck, well under our minimum. The basement stairs are included.
The kitchen fridge and the basement freezer
often still $150
Two units together usually stay under a quarter of the truck.
Three large appliances
about a quarter load, from $275
A fridge, a washer and a dryer, or a fridge, a stove and a freezer, fill roughly a quarter of the truck.
A kitchen remodel or basement clear-out
half a load or more, from $425
Old appliances, cabinets and everything else go on one truck and are priced together by space.

How Fridge Removal Works
Get it ready the day before
Empty the fridge, unplug it the day before so the freezer can defrost, and wipe up the water. If it has an ice maker or a water dispenser, the water valve needs to be shut off and the line disconnected before we come. Tape the doors shut if you like.
Why it leaves in one piece
Fridges and freezers hold refrigerant, and federal rules under the Clean Air Act require it to be recovered before the unit is scrapped. So never cut or puncture the lines to make it lighter. We carry it out whole.
Basement stairs and garages
Most fridges we haul are not in the kitchen. It is the second fridge at the bottom of the basement stairs or the chest freezer in the garage. The crew carries it up any stairs with no stair fee, protecting floors, walls and railings on the way.
Condos and apartment buildings
Tell us the building’s move rules: elevator reservation, loading dock hours, and a certificate of insurance if management asks for one. We come inside that window and protect the elevator and the hallway on the way out.
We haul, we do not disconnect
Built-in refrigerators and units with a water line need to be unhooked by a plumber or an electrician first. A freestanding fridge without a water line only needs to be unplugged.
Where your fridge goes
A fridge is mostly steel, so it goes to appliance and scrap-metal recycling when a facility can take it, where the refrigerant is recovered before the steel is scrapped. It is disposed of properly when it cannot.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does refrigerator removal cost?
One fridge or freezer is $150, from any floor. The kitchen fridge and a basement freezer together often stay within that $150 minimum; roughly three large appliances fill a quarter load, from $275. Bigger jobs are priced by truck space: a half from $425, three-quarters from $575 and a full load from $780. You get the price before we load anything.
How should I prepare a refrigerator for pickup?
Empty it, unplug it the day before so it can defrost, and wipe up the water. Shut off and disconnect the water line if it has an ice maker. Leave the refrigerant lines alone: the unit should leave in one piece.
Do you disconnect the water line or a built-in fridge?
No. We remove appliances that are already disconnected. A built-in refrigerator or a fridge with a plumbed water line needs a plumber or an electrician to unhook it first.
Will you take a fridge that does not work?
Yes, working or not. If food was left inside, bag it and we take the bags along with the fridge.
Can you take a freezer out of the basement?
Yes. Basement chest freezers and second fridges are most of the fridges we haul. The crew carries them up the stairs with no stair fee, protecting the steps, walls and railings.
What happens to my old refrigerator?
It goes to appliance and scrap-metal recycling when a facility can take it. Federal rules require the refrigerant to be recovered before the unit is scrapped, which is why it has to leave whole.
Can you pick up a fridge today?
In most cases we can come the same day or the next day. Call or text in the morning with a photo and the address, and we will tell you when the crew can be there.
