What Furniture Removal Costs
One piece or a whole apartment, priced by the space it takes in the truck. No stair fee, no disassembly fee.
One dresser, one couch or one recliner
$150
A single item is under a quarter of the truck, so it falls under our $150 minimum. That includes carrying it down from any floor.
A living room or a bedroom set
about a quarter load, from $275
Sofa, loveseat, chair and coffee table, or a bed frame, mattress set, dresser and two nightstands. Around 4.5 cubic yards.
A large sectional plus a few extras
a quarter to a half load, $275–$425
Sectionals come apart into several big pieces. Add a recliner or a dining set and it moves toward half the truck.
A whole apartment of furniture
often half a load to one full load, $425–$780
Every room’s furniture, plus the boxes and bags that come with a move-out.

Dressers, armoires and wardrobes
Solid-wood bedroom pieces are tall and heavy, and they are usually upstairs. We pull the drawers or take off the doors when that is what it takes to make the turn on the stairs, and anything left in the drawers gets bagged and goes too. A dresser on its own is a $150 job; a bed frame, mattress set, dresser and two nightstands come to about a quarter load, from $275.
Dining sets and china cabinets
Tables come apart, chairs stack and a buffet or china cabinet goes out in one piece once it is empty. Take out the dishes and anything you want to keep before we come; we carry out the furniture.
Home office furniture
Desks, filing cabinets, office chairs and bookcases are priced by truck space like everything else. Large desks and shelving come apart in the room. Empty the filing cabinets of anything you need first.

Walk-ups, condos and basements
Evanston and Skokie courtyard buildings, Des Plaines and Mount Prospect condos, basement rec rooms in Park Ridge: we carry furniture out of all of them, with no fee for stairs. For condo buildings, book the elevator or loading dock and tell us the window.
Before we arrive
You don’t need to move anything to the door or empty every drawer; loose contents get bagged and go too. Do take out anything you want to keep, mark the pieces that stay, and text us a photo of each item so the quote is exact. If it is a single piece already outside, a photo and the address are enough.

How much does furniture removal cost?
A single item such as a couch, a recliner or a mattress set falls under our $150 minimum. Bigger jobs are priced by the space they take in the truck: a quarter load from $275, a half from $425, three-quarters from $575 and a full load from $780. Stairs, narrow hallways and heavy pieces do not change the price. We give you a quote before we start, and you approve it before we haul anything away.
Do you charge extra for stairs or walk-ups?
No. Carrying furniture down from a second or third floor, up from a basement, or out of a walk-up is part of the job. There is no stair fee and no heavy-item fee.
Do you donate usable furniture?
Yes, when it is in good condition and someone can use it. Items beyond reuse are recycled when possible or disposed of properly.
Can you remove furniture from upstairs or basement?
Absolutely! We handle furniture removal from any floor, including tight staircases, basements, and walk-ups. Our crew brings proper equipment and takes care not to damage walls, railings, or doorways.
Do I need to disassemble furniture first?
No need! We can disassemble items if needed. For large pieces (bed frames, dining tables, sectionals), we may disassemble them on-site for easier removal. It does not change the price, which is set by truck space.
Do you take office furniture?
Yes. Desks, filing cabinets, office chairs and bookcases from a home office go like any other furniture, priced by truck space. Empty the filing cabinets of papers you want to keep first.
Can you pick up furniture that is already outside?
Yes. If it is already on the driveway, beside the garage or by the back door of your building, send a photo and the address and you do not need to be home. A single piece is our $150 minimum.
Can you remove furniture same day?
In most cases, yes! We offer same-day and next-day service throughout Chicago and suburbs. Call us in the morning, and we can often be there the same afternoon.
