What TV Disposal Costs

Anything smaller than a quarter of our truck is $150, carried from any floor. A heavy tube TV costs the same as a flat screen.

One TV, or a computer and monitor

$150

Even a heavy tube TV takes only a corner of the truck, so it is $150, basement stairs included.

A home office or a few TVs

often still $150

A desktop, two monitors, a printer and a couple of old TVs usually stay under a quarter of the truck.

Electronics plus furniture

about a quarter load, from $275

The old TV with its entertainment center and the couch, or a home office with the desk and the filing cabinet.

A basement or estate clear-out

half a load or more, from $425

Years of electronics mixed in with everything else go on one truck and are priced together by space.

How TV Disposal and Recycling Pickup Works

Why e-waste can’t go in the trash

Illinois bans TVs, computers, monitors, printers and many other electronics from landfills under its electronics recycling law, so this e-waste cannot go out with the regular garbage. We take it along with the rest of the job and it goes to electronics recycling.

Tube TVs and console sets

An old 32-inch tube TV can weigh well over 100 pounds, and console sets are built into wooden cabinets. They are usually in the basement or a spare bedroom. The crew carries them out from any floor with no stair fee.

Flat screens

Big flat screens are light but fragile and awkward to carry. If the TV is still on the wall, take it down before we come: we haul, we do not uninstall mounts or wiring.

Your data

Before we take a computer, laptop, tablet or phone, back up what you need and wipe it, or take out the hard drive and keep it. Junk removal is not data destruction.

Send a photo, get the price

Text a photo of the TVs and electronics, the address and which floor they are on. Anything under a quarter of the truck is $150, and you approve the price before we load anything.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does TV disposal cost?

One TV, or a computer with its monitor, is $150, from any floor. A home office or a few TVs often stay within that $150 minimum. Bigger jobs are priced by truck space: a quarter load from $275, a half from $425, three-quarters from $575 and a full load from $780. You get the price before we load anything.

Yes, including heavy console sets and rear-projection TVs, from the basement or any floor, with no stair fee.

Why can’t I put an old TV in the trash in Illinois?

Illinois law bans TVs, computers, monitors, printers and many other electronics from landfills, so they have to be recycled. We take them with the rest of the job and they go to electronics recycling.

What about the data on my old computer?

Back up what you need and wipe the computer, or take out the hard drive and keep it, before we pick it up. Junk removal is not data destruction.
