How Couch Removal Works
Send a photo, get the price
Text a photo of the couch, the address, which floor it is on and whether the way out has a tight turn. One couch is $150 and we tell you before we come. If more goes with it, the quote is based on how much of the truck it fills, and you approve it before we load anything.
If it does not fit through the door
A couch that came in through the front door years ago may not make the turn on the basement stairs today. We take off the legs, unclip the sectional pieces or take the frame apart in the room, so nothing gets wedged in a doorway. That is part of the job and does not change the price.
Sleeper sofas and power recliners
A sleeper sofa hides a steel bed frame and weighs far more than it looks. A power recliner or a lift chair has a motor and cables inside. Close the sleeper and unplug power furniture before we arrive, and the crew carries it out like any other piece.
Walk-ups, condos and basements
Third-floor walk-ups, condo buildings and basement family rooms are where most old couches are. We carry them down or up any number of stairs with no stair fee, protecting walls and railings on the way. In a condo building, book the elevator or the loading dock and tell us the window.
Already outside? You do not need to be home
If the couch is already on the driveway, by the garage or by the back door of your building, send the photo and the address and we pick it up while you are out.
If there are bed bugs
Tell us when you book. An upholstered couch with bed bugs needs to be wrapped in plastic before it is carried through the house or a shared hallway. Send a photo and we will tell you exactly what is needed.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does couch removal cost?
One couch, loveseat or recliner is $150, from any floor. A three-piece sectional often stays within that $150 minimum; a living room set of a sofa, loveseat, chair and coffee table is about a quarter load, from $275. Bigger jobs are priced by truck space: a half from $425, three-quarters from $575 and a full load from $780. You get the price before we load anything.
Will you take apart a couch or sectional that does not fit?
Yes. We take off legs, unclip sectional pieces and take frames apart in the room when a couch will not clear a door or a stairway turn. It is part of the job and does not change the price.
Can you remove a sleeper sofa?
Yes. Sleeper sofas are heavy because of the steel bed frame inside. Close the bed before we come; the price is the same as any other couch, $150 for one.
Do you charge extra for stairs?
No. Carrying a couch down from a third-floor walk-up or up from a basement is part of the job. There is no stair fee and no heavy-item fee.
Can you pick up a couch today?
In most cases we can come the same day or the next day. Call or text in the morning with a photo and the address, and we will tell you when the crew can be there.
Do I need to be home for couch pickup?
Not if the couch is already outside, on the driveway, by the garage or by the back door of your building. Send a photo and the address. If it is inside, someone needs to let us in.
Do you take broken, stained or wet couches?
Yes. Broken frames, torn leather, pet-worn and water-damaged couches all go. If there are bed bugs, tell us before we come so the couch can be wrapped before it is carried out.
Do you pick up couches in my town?
We pick up couches in Chicago and in Park Ridge, Niles, Des Plaines, Rosemont, Norridge, Harwood Heights, Morton Grove, Skokie, Lincolnwood, Evanston, Wilmette, Glenview, Northbrook, Arlington Heights and Mount Prospect, and across Lake, McHenry, DuPage and Kane counties.
