What Tire Disposal Costs

Two parts, both on your quote before we load: hauling, priced by truck space from $150, and a disposal fee for each tire, because recyclers charge per tire.

A set of four tires

$150 plus the per-tire fee

Four tires take a small corner of the truck, so the hauling is our $150 minimum. The tire fee is added for each one.

Tires with other garage junk

truck space plus the per-tire fee

The old grill, the shelving and the tires go on one truck. A quarter load is from $275, and each tire adds its fee.

A stack left by a previous owner

quoted per tire

Count the tires or send a photo of the stack, and the quote shows the hauling and the tire fees line by line.

A whole garage clear-out

half a load or more, from $425

Tires, tools and everything else in the garage are priced by space, with the tire fees on top.

How Tire Pickup Works

Why tires can’t go in the trash

Illinois does not allow whole used tires in landfills, and the garbage truck will not take them. Tires have to go to a tire recycler, which charges for each one. We take them with the rest of the job and bring them there.

Count them, send a photo

Text a photo of the tires, how many there are and where they are: garage, basement, side yard. The quote shows the hauling and the per-tire fee separately, and you approve it before we load anything.

From the basement or the back of the garage

Tires end up in the hardest places to reach: stacked behind the shelving, in the basement crawl space, under the deck. The crew carries them out from wherever they are, with no stair fee.

Already outside? You do not need to be home

If the tires are on the driveway or by the garage, send the photo and the address and we pick them up while you are out.

Clearing the garage anyway?

Tires are usually part of a bigger pile. Old tools, a broken mower, shelving and scrap metal go on the same truck, priced together by space, and the tires add only their per-tire fee.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does tire disposal cost?

Two parts: hauling, priced by truck space from our $150 minimum, and a disposal fee for each tire, because tire recyclers charge per tire. A set of four is the $150 minimum plus four tire fees. Both parts are on your quote before we load anything.

Why is there a fee for each tire?

Illinois does not allow whole used tires in landfills, so they go to a tire recycler, and recyclers charge for every tire they take. We pass that cost on as a per-tire fee and show it on the quote.

What kinds of tires do you take?

Car, SUV and light-truck tires, spares, winter sets, trailer and lawn tractor tires, worn, flat or dry-rotted. For anything bigger, send a photo and ask first.

Can you take tires along with other junk?

Yes, and that is how most tires leave. The rest of the garage or basement goes on the same truck, priced by space, and the tires add only their per-tire fee.

Do I need to be home for tire pickup?

Not if the tires are already outside, on the driveway or by the garage. Send a photo and the address. If they are inside, someone needs to let us in.

Can you pick up tires today?

In most cases we can come the same day or the next day. Call or text in the morning with a photo and the address, and we will tell you when the crew can be there.

Do you pick up tires in my town?

We pick up tires in Chicago and in Park Ridge, Niles, Des Plaines, Rosemont, Norridge, Harwood Heights, Morton Grove, Skokie, Lincolnwood, Evanston, Wilmette, Glenview, Northbrook, Arlington Heights and Mount Prospect, and across Lake, McHenry, DuPage and Kane counties. Send the address and we will confirm.
